It's been a few days...

So sorry I have not been on here for a few days, I've actually been suffering from a stomach virus! It has been terrible. Today was the first day I had nothing to do and could actually lay in bed and take time to get better. I'm still a little sick but hopefully will be fine within the day or two!


Let me catch you up on what I was doing before I got sick:

On Wednesday evening my dad came to Boone to take my best friend and I to dinner. It was absolutely fantastic! We went to a small restaurant tucked away in the middle of no where in a renovated cabin, called The Gamekeeper. It was delicious!

 

This is actually the outside of The Gamekeeper, from the looks of it I would have never chosen to eat here. I am so glad my dad suggested it!

It was such a cute and cozy environment!

The food was to die for! We all ate a little of each others and tried duck, buffalo, deer and ostrich! I enjoyed all of it (even though I was a little apprehensive to try it all!) The drinks were excellent too, we had martinis before dinner, Sauvignon Blanc with our meal and our dessert was a glass of sparkling Moscato (my choice of course). Regardless to say my friend and I were feeling a little tipsy after the meal.

My dad surprised me with a gift for Thanksgiving he had picked up on one of his trips!

Sorry the picture is blurry, I hate Blackberry cameras (another reason why I cannot wait to get my iPhone!) But he bought me this beautiful necklace it is Sterling Silver and Platinum and you cannot really tell in the picture but it has small diamonds on it. It is so pretty, I love it!

So then Thursday I came down ill and have been feeling completely under the weather ever since. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
